Shopify designer and UX/UI designer.
Elevating brands to the next level
Freelance UX/UI designer, Shopify Designer, and overall Ecommerce design specialist based in Falmouth, Cornwall, UK.
With two decades of design experience, I focus on bringing brands to life by telling their stories through beautifully crafted, user-centric, and conversion-focused designs.
I have a vast and diverse skill set, with a strong background in branding that not many UX/UI designers have. Over the past ten years, I have been increasingly dedicated to digital and web design. During this time, I have also learned motion graphics, allowing me to enhance brand experiences at every user touchpoint.
Strings to my bow
Expert Shopify web designer
Since the start of the pandemic and the rise in online sales I have been mainly focussing on ecommerce & in particular the Shopify platform.
From designing new builds from the ground up to creating UX audits and doing Shopify CRO (conversion rate optimisation) work.
I have a wealth of knowledge designing and adapting to Shopify themes and also designing custom themes, designing custom functionality and also creating bespoke Shopify design systems.
I’m a Shopify web designer who not only understands the unique needs of a business but also the needs of a user which help my designs get results.
UX/UI Designer
I’m an individual who is constantly researching and looking for the next big thing.
Heavily experienced in user persona workshops & UX prototyping, user-centric UX design. Mobile-first UI design, user persona workshops through to full design systems in Figma.
No task is too big or too small.
Motion Graphics
Throughout my career I have never been one to stand still, constantly moving and evolving.
Learning how to make a brand move was a natural step.
I can now bring this into initial website deigns, animated transitions for developers and full social campaigns and motion graphic videos.
Brand Identity
My bread and butter. I started off in Bath & Bristol nearly 2 decades ago (eek) freelancing for some great agencies and working with some great people.
Brand is where it all begins and this knowledge is what sets me apart. With this knowledge it helps my UX/UI design and Shopify design, but also helps me think about how that identity is going to lend itself to a mobile device and small space usage.
Ant was fantastic to work with—professional, efficient, and made the whole process seamless. Our website saw huge improvements, and we’ll definitely be working with him again for future projects. He also has great industry contacts, which was a real bonus!

Technical Terminology
A Shopify Designer is someone that has a UX and UI background in ecommerce design. A good Shopify designer will be able to look at your brand, your website and analytics and will be able to understand your users needs. From understanding your users and your business needs will then be able to recommend the right approach for your company. That may be tweaks to book sale or a redesign with bespoke and specific functionality for your users that will be able to boost sales and average order value.
A Shopify designer builds out user-focussed designs and design systems in Figma. This can then be made into fully clickable prototypes which are easy to edit in the design phase.
A developer would then take these designs and build them out into the Shopify ecosystem.
I work with some of the best Shopify designers around and the transition from design to development then QA after build is seamless.
When someone is freelance, they work for themselves. No extra overheads or oversights that you, the client, have to pay for. You have the calls and meetings with the person who does the work, no passing the work onto someone with less experience. No BS, just 100% transparency and trust. How it should be.
