Shopify Websites Built for Growth
Freelance UX/UI designer, Shopify Designer, and overall Ecommerce design specialist based in Falmouth, Cornwall, UK.
With two decades of design experience, I focus on bringing brands to life by telling their stories through beautifully crafted, user-centric, and conversion-focused designs.
I have a vast and diverse skill set, with a strong background in branding that not many UX/UI designers have. Over the past ten years, I have been increasingly dedicated to digital and web design. During this time, I have also learned motion graphics, allowing me to enhance brand experiences at every user touchpoint.
Ant was fantastic to work with—professional, efficient, and made the whole process seamless. Our website saw huge improvements, and we’ll definitely be working with him again for future projects. He also has great industry contacts, which was a real bonus!

Strings to my bow
Shopify web designer & CRO specialist
Since the start of the pandemic and the rise in online sales I have been mainly focussing on ecommerce & in particular the Shopify platform.
From designing new builds from the ground up to creating UX audits and doing Shopify CRO (conversion rate optimisation) work.
I have a wealth of knowledge designing and adapting to Shopify themes and also designing custom themes, designing custom functionality and also creating bespoke Shopify design systems.
I’m a Shopify web designer who not only understands the unique needs of a business but also the needs of a user which help my designs get results.
UX/UI Designer
I’m an individual who is constantly researching and looking for the next big thing.
Heavily experienced in user persona workshops & UX prototyping, user-centric UX design. Mobile-first UI design, user persona workshops through to full design systems in Figma.
No task is too big or too small.
Motion Graphics
Throughout my career I have never been one to stand still, constantly moving and evolving.
Learning how to make a brand move was a natural step.
I can now bring this into initial website deigns, animated transitions for developers and full social campaigns and motion graphic videos.
Brand Identity
My bread and butter. I started off in Bath & Bristol nearly 2 decades ago (eek) freelancing for some great agencies and working with some great people.
Brand is where it all begins and this knowledge is what sets me apart. With this knowledge it helps my UX/UI design and Shopify design, but also helps me think about how that identity is going to lend itself to a mobile device and small space usage.

Technical Terminology
A Shopify designer creates user-focused ecommerce designs that align with your brand and boost sales. They analyse your website and customer behaviour to recommend improvements — from small conversion tweaks to full bespoke redesigns with tailored functionality.
A Shopify designer focuses on user experience (UX) and interface (UI), working in tools like Figma to create prototypes. A developer then takes those designs and codes them into a working Shopify store. Designers shape the look and flow, while developers handle the build.
A freelance Shopify designer works independently, so you deal directly with the person designing your store. This often means lower costs, faster communication, and greater transparency compared with agencies that pass work between teams.
A Shopify designer focuses on creating a user-friendly, high-converting store layout. If design and user experience are your priority, a designer is the right choice.
A UK-based Shopify designer understands local markets, buying habits, and design trends. They can create visuals and branding that resonate with UK customers while ensuring your store feels familiar and trustworthy. This local insight helps your brand stand out and convert more effectively.
